Right To Play at the OR@S The Book of Peace and Right To Play Hero Auction

Right To Play will also have a presence at the Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung (OR@S) in Piazza Solferino. The Book of Peace, presented by Samsung and Right To Play, will be housed at the OR@S. It will be signed by athletes that visit the facility and will be presented to key members of the IOC and the UN at the completion of the Games.

"I was thrilled to donate my Team USA jacket to Right To Play for their Auction," said Dan Jansen. "In 2004, I had the chance to see first hand the work of Right To Play on the ground in Tanzania. What I saw was an organization helping to improve the lives of children affected by war, poverty and disease through the incredible power of sport and play. I would encourage all Olympic athletes to join our team and help create a better tomorrow for children through sport!"

The OR@S will also be the home of the Right To Play Hero Auction. Everyday, a framed item donated by an "Olympic Hero" will be auctioned off in support of Right To Play. Athletes who have donated items in previous years include Johann Koss, Dan Jansen, Katarina Witt, Stephanie Balmudo and others.
