Dan Jansen Delivers DHL Spirit Award at 2006 Winter Olympics

The U.S. Olympic Spirit Award was created in 1968 by the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) to honor the extraordinary achievements of the United States' Olympic athletes, celebrating more than gold-medal winning performances. Dan Jansen is the only two-time recipient of the Spirit Award.

On February 27, Dan Jansen joined the USOC in announcing the winners of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Spirit Award Delivered by DHL.

Joey Cheek, Lindsey Kildow, and the members of the 2006 U.S. Olympic Snowboarding team, were selected by American fans, fellow Team USA athletes, U.S. alumni Olympians, and members of the media for best representing the Olympic Spirit through their courage, commitment, performance, perseverance and vision, both in competition and in pursuit of their Olympic dream.

DHL, the world's leading global express delivery and logistics company, is proud to be the "Official Express Delivery and Logistics Provider of the 2006 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams" and to deliver the 2006 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Spirit Awards, honoring athletes representing the United States at the 2006 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.
